A Call to All Teachers:


Proudly announcing our new group for educators worldwide, “We Teach the World.” Our aim is to connect teachers and related school personnel all over the world, so that we can share much-needed ideas, strategies, and lesson plans as well as all kinds of resources in classroom management and in student discipline. Coordinating our effort worldwide, we can tell each other where to find important resources and information.     These steps are essential in the beginning of the year for every classroom at every level. Students need to be reminded periodically throughout the year though, that the classroom rules that have been established for the class still are consistent throughout the school year (no matter the situation or excuse). I also think it is very important that a teacher is a role model for their students because they are the adults educating the future. Students are influenced by people closest to them, and because teachers are with them almost every day for 7, 8 and sometimes 9 hours during the day, students become start to mimic things that their teachers do without even knowing it. Therefore teachers must become self aware of their actions and make sure they treat their students with respect.

As Levine (2002) states, attention is the brain’s manager, including a complicated network of controls that regulate most of the processes involved in learning and behavior.
